How do I get to Urban Hope?
You will need to arrange your own transportation to Urban Hope at the beginning of each semester and back home at the end of the semester for breaks.
Do I need to have a car for transportation during the program?
While you do need to arrange a means of traveling to and from Urban Hope for the start and end of each semester, lots of people in our neighborhood are able to live without a vehicle and use public transportation.
Am I able to bring my vehicle to Urban Hope?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your vehicle to Urban Hope. We are not able to provide parking for student vehicles or ensure their safety due to theft or damage.
Do I need to find my own living accommodations?
Living accommodations are included. We have apartments with full kitchens and a lounge area for the students to use.
What do I need to bring for the apartment provided?
Basic furniture and kitchen supplies will be provided. You will need to bring linens and are free to add to the accommodations as you like.
Are there breaks in the program during the year?
There is a break at Christmas for 3 weeks and a spring break.
Can I stay in the dorms during breaks from classes?
Make arrangements to return home or stay elsewhere during the winter and spring break periods. You may stay in the dorms during breaks that are less than a week long (Fall Break).
What are the arrangements for food?
You will be given a stipend to cover the cost of food and encouraged to budget wisely what you spend.
Will we travel to other places during the experience?
You will get the chance to visit numerous major cities including Chicago and New York and the expense for these trips is covered completely within your tuition.
What kind of jobs are available to those who complete this program?
